Services & Recreation in Montana's Bitterroot Valley

Airport: 32 minutes north on the outskirts of Missoula. This international airport is serviced by several major carriers with direct service to major hubs like Seattle, Salt Lake, and Denver.

Shopping: 22 minutes north in Missoula is a variety of banks, grocers, Southgate Mall (loaded with stores), Cabelas', Wallmart, several auto dealerships and much more. 30 minutes south is Hamilton with banks, grocers, and an auto dealership.

Golf: 22 minutes north to Missoula (5 courses) or 30 minutes south to Hamilton (1 course).

Hunting: Unlimited forest service and state land hunting opportunities within 10-15 minute drives in most directions. Hunt elk, deer (2 species), bear and much more.

Fishing: 5 minutes west to the Bitterroot River provides excellent trout opportunities. Too many lakes, streams and river systems to even list here. Depending upon species, travel ranges from 5 minutes up to 2.5 hours: Species include: Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike, Sturgeon, Whitefish, Grayling, Salmon, Lingcod, Perch, and much more.

Skiing: 35 minutes north is "Snowbowl Ski Area" with runs for both amateur or expert alike. 40 minutes south is "Lost Trail Powder Mountain", with runs for all level skiers.

Others: Additional opportunities are but a short drive from Remington Ridge. Pan for gold, hike well maintained trails to spectacular mountain tops, pick huckleberries, go mineral hunting (real sapphires or crystals) or find 6 million year old fossils, go horse back riding . . . the choices are virtually endless.
